Candlelight: Tribute to Michael Jackson Cambridge Concert reviews
Bryan Adams was better than ever!
I have seen Tribute to The Beatles Candlelight in Kingston NH and Worchester MA in the 1980's and in the LA Superdome opening for the Stones in 1994 or 1995. He was engaging, had the lights turned on and chatted with the audience, had a good mixture of his songs from different albums, eras and his two academy award winners, sang a little in coutry which was funny and showed great range and even mimicked Steve Perry perfectly. This concept of going solo with the guitar and sometimes the accompanyment of the piano, in smaller venues, is tremendous. The sound quality of his voice was perfect, the vocals were crisp and in perfect combination with the instruments. It is a great thing he is doing, and it allows him to be much more intimate with the crowd, all of whom loved him and every song. (Of course, he has been my favorite musician since 1983.) He thanks the audience for being "wonderful" and making him "feel at home." He was awesome then. Great concert, great concept, over 2 full hours of music...wow! We got a glimpse that he is really a good, down-to-earth person too!
Even Better than Before
This year, my fiancé and I enjoyed the Candlelight: Tribute to The Beatles even more than last year. All of the acts were captivating, unique, awesome, and multi-cultural. MAJOR KUDOS to all of the Candlelight: Tribute to The Beatles performers, Staff, and Conductors! Every aspect of the circus was well orchestrated, keeping you energized. We plan on next year's experience as well, you can best believe.
An unexpected highlight was when I tried to get the ring leader to pull my fiancé out for the dance challenge, pointing over her head without her knowing it. Instead, he pulled me out. Four people from the crowd were pulled out to repeat dance moves. I actually know how to dance, so I started doing the Detroit Jit, a fast-paced footwork dance developed in Detroit, and the crowd went crazy, cheering me on. The conductor laughed and walked to the side, letting me show off. I won the dance competition. Just a wonderful, memorable lifetime moment for me.
